Collegiate quarterback, football player, athlete, and NFL prospect who originally began his NCAA career at the University of the Incarnate Word. As a sophomore at UIW, he was named the Southland Offensive Player of the Year. Since then, he has played college football at Washington State University and the University of Miami.  He was drafted first overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2025 NFL draft.

He was a two-sport athlete while at Columbia High School. In addition to playing football, he also played basketball.

As a freshman at Incarnate Word, he led the entire FCS in touchdown passes with 24. As a result of his success, he was given the Jerry Rice Award. He stands six feet, one inch tall, and weighs approximately 185 pounds.

He grew up living with his family in Lake Jackson, Texas. Ward’s cousin is Baylor Bears and Virginia Tech Hokies quarterback Kyron Drones.
